Open Day / Dia Da Abertura
K3 and Grade 1
On the Open Day, our class performed a song and showed their work to demonstrate their understanding of the central idea that human interaction with the environment has an impact on animals. They showed their inquiry evidence which demonstrated their research skills.
Pré- Escolar e 1° Ano
No Dia Da Abertura, a nossa turma cantou uma música e demostrou o seu conhecimento da ideia central do mundo no que diz respeito ao impacto da interacção humana com o ambiente e os animais. Eles mostraram as evidências do inquérito apresentando as suas habilidades de pesquisa.
Grade 2
On the Open Day, students of grade 2 displayed their work on arts with respect to the current unit of inquiry with a special focus on Easter. They were able to express their ideas and emotions by cutting, pasting and painting Easter bunnies and eggs. Students felt very enthusiastic, portraying respect, creativity and cooperation while presenting their work to the parents. It was undoubtedly a great day for the students.
2º Ano
No Dia Da Abertura, as crianças tiveram a iniciativa de fazer trabalhos de Arte, relacionados com a unidade de investigação, tendo especial atenção á época em causa que foi a páscoa. As crianças conseguiram expressar as suas ideias e emoções, recortando, colando e pintando coelhos e ovos de páscoa. Dia Aberto do Currículo na Academia Por fim, dizer que as crianças sentiram-se muito entusiasmadas, mostrando atitudes de respeito, criatividade e cooperação em todos os trabalhos e respectiva apresentação aos pais. Foi sem dúvida um grande dia para as crianças.
Grade 3
Discovering Mozambique has been a fabulous adventure in the grade 3 classroom through our unit of inquiry, ‘Where we are in place and time’. The Open Day was a huge success with students and parents sharing knowledge about each of the provinces of Mozambique. The students were proud to present their posters which displayed their research on their provinces.
3º Ano
Descobriu-se que Moçambique tem sido uma fabulosa aventura na sala de aulas da 3º Ano, através da nossa unidade de investigação, “Onde estamos no lugar e no tempo'. O Dia Da Abertura foi um enorme sucesso com os alunos e pais, compartilhando o conhecimento sobre cada uma das províncias de Moçambique. Os alunos estavam orgulhosos de apresentar os cartazes exibindo as pesquisas das suas províncias.
Grade 4
First of all, the Open Day was an excellent opportunity for the students to share their learnings about the current and previous units of inquiry namely ecosystem and energy respectively. Apart from that, it helped enhance the confidence of our students and reinforce the concept studied throughout the units of inquiry. Furthermore, parents were very impressed by the amount of content covered. Finally, our students got motivated to work more and improve their performances to a higher level. We were filled with a sense of pride to listen to our students articulating their learnings in such an eloquent way.
4 Ano
Primeiramente, a Dia Da Abertura foi uma excelente oportunidade para os alunos compartilharem suas aprendizagens sobre as unidades actuais e anteriores de investigação, nomeadamente ecossistema e energia, respectivamente. Além disso, ajudou a aumentar a confiança de nossos alunos e reforçar o conceito estudado em todas as unidades de investigação. Além disso, os pais ficaram muito impressionados com a quantidade de conteúdo coberto. Finalmente, os nossos alunos ficaram motivados para trabalhar mais e melhorar o seu desempenho para um nível superior. Nós estavamos orgulhosos de ouvir os nossos estudantes articulando seus conhecimentos de forma tão eloquente.
Grade 5 and Grade 6
Students on Open Day wanted to show their parents everything they have learnt during this year; this message came through a power point presentation of each piece of work exposed in the classroom. As we are very close to the Exhibition, the students did some experiments related to the central idea of the unit on 'Microorganisms'. The parents observed and participated in the game of discovery on various viruses and bacteria performed by the students. Moreover, students demonstrated a perfect example of the Learner Profile that is addressed in the IB programme through their work; showed their knowledge (Knowledgeable), reflected on what they learnt (Reflective), communicated clearly all their knowledge (Communicators). Students shared their knowledge with the all the attendees.
5 Ano and 6 Ano
Os alunos no Dia Da Abertura quiseram mostrar aos pais tudo o que tinham aprendido durante este ano lectivo, esta mensagem chegou através de um powerpoint e com a apresentação de cada trabalho exposto na sala de aula. Como estávamos muito próximo da Exibição, os alunos fizeram algumas experiências relacionadas com a Ideia Central da Unidade “ Microorganismos”. Os Encarregados de Educação, observaram e participaram num Brain Storm, sobre a Exibição, assim como num jogo de descoberta sobre vários virus e bactérias. Os alunos demonstraram que se encaixam perfeitamente no Perfil do Aluno que é abordado no IB Program , mostraram o seu conhecimento (Conhecedores), reflectiram sobre o que aprenderam (Reflexivos), comunicaram de forma clara todo o seu conhecimento (Comunicadores) . Os alunos partilharam o seu conhecimento com toda a comunidade escolar.
