The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa Dominates Junior Athletics

Last March, The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa (AKAM) hosted and dominated the fifth edition of the Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa Invitational Junior Athletics Championships. Athletes from five schools participated in the competition, which took place on March 12th, and displayed skills in various track and field events. Over the years, these championships have been a place for many of the most talented youth sports stars to showcase their prowess.

The five schools competed in three categories: Under 8’s, Under 10’s, and under 12’s for both genders. The other participating schools were: Oshwal Academy, Mombasa Academy, Jaffery Academy, and Shree Swaminarayan Academy. For the fifth year in a row, The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa emerged as the overall winners with 476 points. Oshwal Academy came in second place at 446 points and Shree Swaminarayan, Jaffrey, and Mombasa Academies came in 3rd, 4th, and 5th place, respectively. The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa earned its victory by obtaining three trophies: The Overall Shield, Under 12’s, and Under 10’s.
