Grade 10 students celebrate completion of Middle Years Programme

The Grade 10 students commemorated the end of the Middle Years Programme with a ceremony. During the five-year rigorous programme, students are inspired to understand issues and ideas on multiple levels, locally, nationally, and internationally.

Play golf, change a life

On Saturday 12 March, the Friends of the Academy organised a golf tournament at the Nyali Golf Club to raise funds for the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa’s Talent Identification Programme (TID). This programme identifies exceptional Grade 6 students across Kenya from marginalised backgrounds and provides them with a full scholarship for seven years to attend the Academy, which is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.

Raphael Mwachiti: studying Computer Science at the University of British Columbia

Raphael Mwachiti has been accepted to the University of British Columbia – Okanagan Campus – to pursue a degree in Computer Science. He Joined the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa in 2015 through the Talent Identification Programme, which provides exceptional students with an international-standard education and leadership opportunities, regardless of their ability to pay.
