PYP Learning Showcase
On 4 March 2022, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo’s Primary Years Programme (PYP) students invited their families to attend the PYP Learning Showcase. The Learning Showcase is an opportunity for the PYP students to practice their communication, presentation and public speaking skills as well to share their learning with their families and with the school community.
The students worked in teams to present projects that they created over the past few weeks. Project topics and themes ranged from water management, the challenges and potential solutions for water pollution, the sustainability of life on Earth and new designs for Space Bases — fictional planets with all elements needed to sustain human life.
“The PYP celebrated lots of wonderful projects and ideas during our Learning Showcase,” said PYP Coordinator Emma Wheatley. “Students from Grades 1-4 welcomed their families to the event and shared the learning from their current Unit of Inquiry. A kind thank you to all the families who visited and a very big congratulations to all of our little students!”
