Student Spotlight - Arnaz Pradhan | Aga Khan Academies

Student Spotlight - Arnaz Pradhan

22 January 2021

If you could be magically transported to one specific location right now, where would it be?

Without any hesitation it would be a Covid free world. Then I could finally be on campus at the Aga Khan Academy! Being a new student, who has never set foot on the campus, I am really looking forward to being there physically. From everything I have seen online, it feels like a different world in itself.

What are the top three things you like about the Academy?

First of all, start-of-week video messages on Monday morning from Dr. Long. Secondly, the incredible community that I have found at the Academy is something I hold close to my heart. Last but not least, the systematic Distance Learning Program, with a proper schedule. There's never a dull moment at the AKA Hyderabad!

What is keeping you focused and positive?

I think there are three things that are keeping me focused and positive. Firstly, my passion for music. Whenever I am under pressure, I sit at the piano for a few minutes and it is magic for me. Secondly, I keep myself busy with activities - like working for my page “Unleash The Youth Power” on Instagram. Thirdly, it's a late evening walk every day.

Biggest cause of frustration/challenge during lockdown?

The biggest cause of frustration for me is not being able to travel.

Any things you are finding really beneficial about the lockdown?

There are three things which I feel have been very beneficial. Firstly, I became a part of the AKA Hyderabad family.  Secondly I am able to have more time for self-care.  Thirdly, spending quality time with family.

If you had a chance to pass on one piece of advice to your fellow students right now, what would it be?

Always have passion, work for a cause and find a way to give back to society.
