The most recent phase of construction at the Aga Khan Academy Maputo was completed in January 2018 with the opening of the Junior School campus. Fighting stereotypes, it is women who are in leadership roles and key to the construction project's success. There aren't many women in the construction industry in Mozambique in managerial roles, but the team thinks there should be: "As long as the person is qualified and driven, gender does not make a difference."
