An Inspirational Story

Grade 6 and 7 Portuguese language and literature students have been studying a unit about documentary making and have focused on techniques used in Lusophone contexts to depict the lives of street children. During the unit the students learned about many of the reasons why children find themselves surviving alone on the streets, and the consequences of living in such uncertain circumstances.

The Mango Challenge

The Mango Challenge, which encouraged students and parents within our school community to use mangoes in sweet or savoury dishes led to a wonderful event that started at 14.00 and enabled people to sample dishes.

As a part of the unit on autobiographical writing and research focusing on the drama industry, our PYP and MYP students were privileged to receive a visit from the internationally renowned Mozambican actress Lucrecia Paco.
