Meet Farjana Mobin, Grade 5 homeroom teacher
Farjana Mobin was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh and is one of the Grade 5 homeroom teachers at the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka. Farjana’s career as a teacher began in 1997 and she has taught in several English medium schools around Dhaka, including The Aga Khan School, Dhaka.
Farjana aspires to achieve the mission and vision of the Aga Khan Academies by assisting and enabling students to grasp the value of their unique identities, cultures and traditions to nurture a pluralistic mindset.
“I want to establish a close bond with my students and encourage them to be trustworthy, tolerant and compassionate,” Farjana said. “As an educator, it is my utmost responsibility to value students’ creative thoughts, queries, beliefs and multiple perspectives, and inspire them to be future leaders.”
Farjana greatly appreciates the aesthetic beauty of the Academy.
“The large windows of the classroom are my favourite feature of the Academy,” Farjana said. “The expansive view from the window helps me to relax.”
