Meet Lamia Khan, visual arts teacher

Lamia Khan was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and is one of the visual arts teachers at the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka. Lamia started her teaching career as a visual arts teacher at The Aga Khan School, Dhaka, where she spent four years before joining the Academy.  

Lamia aspires to achieve the mission and vision of the Aga Khan Academies by providing guidance to the students and ensuring success in all spheres of learning. 

“My responsibility is to guide the students through inquiry, action and reflection,” Lamia said. “I want my students to become life-long learners so that they achieve academic and personal success.” 

Lamia loves teaching in the comfortable and spacious classrooms at the Academy. 

“​​The time I spend with my students in the visual arts class is the best part of my working hour,” Lamia said. “It brings me great joy to guide and develop these young artists.”
