Meet Shanchita Saha, music teacher

Shanchita aspires to achieve the mission and vision of the Aga Khan Academies by developing a pluralistic mindset in students through music so that they become compassionate learners.  

“Music is a strong medium to uphold one’s culture and unite people of diverse backgrounds,” Shanchita said. “With the beauty and power of music, I want to enable students to respect different cultures, and put the idea of pluralism into practice.”

Shanchita loves teaching in the well-equipped music room of the Academy, where she spends most of her time.  

“I love the ambiance and the collection of instruments in the music room,” Shanchita said. “We have a lot of fun here; playing, singing and learning.”
