UNESCO officials visit the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka
Dr Suzan and Ms Kizzy received a tour of the award-winning, 17-acre campus and its state-of-the-art facilities. Meanwhile, they also interacted with the Academy’s faculty members and staff.
Dr Suzan praised the Academy’s facilities – modern science labs, use of natural resources in the classrooms and lush green surroundings. Drawing a comparison to the science labs in her school in Australia, she emphasised how the Academy’s labs put a greater focus on students’ needs with its arrangements.“The level of thoughtfulness in the architecture and design centred around students’ needs is truly remarkable,” Dr Suzan said. “This Academy is set to bring out profound changes.”
Following the visit, UNESCO officials, H.E. Mr Munir and Ms Suvina engaged in discussions about the prospects of collaboration. The focus was on enhancing the quality of teaching and promoting and restoring the country’s cultural assets and heritage.
