Aga Khan Academy Mombasa shines at Kenya Music Festival
The theme of this year’s Festival was “Enhancing National Unity, Cohesion and Integration through Kenya Music Festival.’’
The Aga Khan Academy Mombasa won 17 top three placings including eight firsts, two second places, as well as seven third positions, concluding a dramatic and colorful participation by our students at the recent 2017 National Kenya Music Festival held in Kakamega Masinde Muliro University.
In the operatic category, the Academy was placed in 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th positions – these places have been won by the Academy for the last nine years. Among those who earned 1st place were Ayaan Allarakhia, Abigail Obiero, Saavi Gupta, Dinisha D’Silva, Rowena Adhiambo, Gabriella Obongo, Hilda Maichibu, and Wayne Kige.
