During my time at AKA,M I was able to contribute to broad range of aspects of life at the Academy. From teaching English to the Year 7s and DPs, serving as House Leader for the Red House, supporting the President's award club on numerous hikes up Mt. Kenya, living with the students as a Dorm Master, and helping students on their journey to life after AKA,M as a University Counselor. Living in Mombasa and working with the students and teachers of AKA,M allowed me to further realize my interest in continuing a life of engagement with a community of motivated, international, life-long learners. Following my time at AKA,M I went on to pursue a Master's Degree in International Studies and Diplomacy at SOAS in London, and then on to work for an International Development firm working to implement public health programs throughout the world.
