20th Annual MSMUN Conference

The 20^th Annual MSMUN Conference was held at the United Nations Offices in Nairobi (UNON) as from 21 to 24 January 2014.

The Aga Khan Academy Mombasa was represented by a team of 17 students representing five different countries. These included Palestinian Territories, Qatar, Tonga, Ukraine and Italy.

 

The Palestinian Territories resolution was presented in the Human Rights Committee by Ria Devani of Year 7 while Qatar’s resolution was presented in the Health Committee by Hussein Janmohamed of Year 8. Tonga’s resolution in the Ecology Committee was presented by Flocia Akeyo in Year 9 as Inara Ramji of the same class worked in the Technology Committee.

All the four resolutions emerged best in their categories  at the conference attended by over one thousand delegates from the East Africa Region.

 

The team was trained by the MYP Vice Principal, Mr David Ochieng assisted by Mr. Felix Odimmasi who accompanied them to the conference together Mrs Stella Wachira.
