The Aga Khan Academy Junior Golfers do us Proud!
The range of sports offered by the Academy and, indeed, student participation continues to grow. The coastal region possesses more upcoming young golfers than any other region in the country. A number of our students at the Academy are amongst this talented group of golfers.
On Sunday, 5th October the Academy participated in the Coast inter-schools junior golf championships at Nyali Golf Club.
The grueling Mombasa sun may have been intimidating to the average adult golfer, but that didn’t stop the under-18 golfers from Mombasa from taking part. The event was well supported by competitors and spectators alike. Captained by the diploma student and Kenyan national side player, Rachel Chebukati (see picture), the Academy players performed admirably and finished the competition in third place.
