DP2 Art Exhibition
The final art exhibition is an assessed component for DP art students, making up 40% of their final grade but, more than that, it is the culmination of the students' IB Diploma Programme Art experience. Students present a selection of their best work in the form of a curated final show. They articulate their purpose and intention in a written rationale. The concept of each work as well as the exhibition as a whole is chosen and developed by students themselves. “This year's cohort has created 5 exhibitions, all very individual, that evidence the personalities of these young artists,” said Ms Antoinette Blain, Teacher Coach for Expressive Arts.
The opening event on Monday gave a chance for the whole school community to see the work as well as welcome parents of the students and guests from the AKA Mombasa community. "I am very impressed by the students' achievements," said Australian artist Graeme Finn.
