John Morris: Our new Academy Fellow

John Morris is joining the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa as an Academy Fellow. He recently graduated from Ashesi University with a degree in Computer Science and has previously interned with the Equity Group Foundation as a College Counsellor supporting top performing students with essay writing and SAT/ACT tests for their college applications.

In his capacity as a Fellow, John said he hopes to engage with students to give them an enriching and invigorating educational experience. He also aspires get started with robotics in school and support the University Counselling department.

John plans to uphold the mission and vision of the Academy by embodying its ethos and values. “I want to immerse myself in the community by incorporating the Aga Khan Strands, being open-minded, creative, and encouraging critical thinking in all that I do,” John stated.

On his favourite part about the Academy, John said he loves the breath-taking view of the ocean from the residences owing to the strategic location of the campus and the hospitality he has been shown by everyone. He is excited to work with everyone and grow both professionally and personally.
