Meet Beatrice Mecha, English language and literature teacher

Beatrice is familiar to some around campus, having been at the Academy years ago. Beatrice will be a Senior School English language and literature teacher. Before she re-joined the team at the Academy, Beatrice taught at international schools around Kenya including ISK (International School of Kenya).

Beatrice plans to continue to ignite a curiosity for learning new things and enjoyment of reading for pleasure as well as for academic purposes.

Beatrice plans to uphold the Academy’s mission and vision by, “having engaging learning experiences and sourcing material that will allow students to explore deep conceptual learning and make connections to real-world issues.”

Beatrice's favourite part of the Academy is the learning atmosphere and the friendly, welcoming nature of the community.
