Open Boys Basketball And Girls Basketball

On Satuday, 31 January 2009, the Aga Khan Academy hosted its 3rd Annual Open Boys Basketball tournament. Four schools competed in the tournament, including Mombasa Academy, Coast Academy, Light Academy and Aga Khan Academy, involving over 100 athletes. The day was filled with excitement, as the competition was tough. Spectators were treated to several entertaining games of quality basketball. In the end, Light Academy successfully defended the title by outlasting Mombasa Academy in the finals.

The Academy team was narrowly beaten by the eventual winners in the semi-finals. In addition, an Open Girls match took place before the Boys final between Aga Khan Academy and Mombasa Academy. The girls demonstrated their skill and enthusiasm for the game.
