Simba's Pride Roars Into Life
Last evening saw the first performance of Simba’s Pride, a wonderful musical involving the entire Junior School.
The audience was treated to a fine display of acting and singing; there are obviously some actors in the making at the Academy. There were also lots of wonderful animal masks. A special mention must be made of the fire scene where spectacular “fire crowns” were worn by the chorus who also sported special fingerware which allowed the actors to most effectively conjure up the terror of a large fire.
This is an action-packed drama, thankfully with a happy ending, and parents and friends should hurry along for the final performance this evening, 15 March at 7pm.
