Student nominated as finalist for most influential young Tanzanian

Through his service project Tumaini La Maisha, which aims at helping children with cancer, DP2 student Alqaim Lalani became nominated as a finalist for the 2018 50 Most Influential Young Tanzanians ranking.

Avance Media, a media and public relations agency in Africa, features this ranking along with others to highlight the impactful work young people are doing.

Within the ranking are 10 categories, with Alqaim being nominated for the “Social Enterprise & Philanthropy” category. Four other candidates have also been nominated for this position and the final nominee will be selected through an online voting portal that will remain open for two weeks. The votes a candidate receives will help determine the candidate’s influence in their respectful category and their placement on the ranking out of the 50 nominees.
