Students win at Kenya Science and Engineering Fair Sub-county competition
Eight AKA Mombasa students competed in the Kenya Science and Engineering Sub-county Fair from which they advanced to the County level.
The event, which happened at the Star of the Sea Primary School from 28-29 February, consisted of the eight students developing and presenting projects in pairs. The projects focused on topics such as engineering, physics and more.
"I must say that we were ecstatic as the students articulated their presentations that clearly reflected an extension of the science they have learnt in class," said AKA Mombasa Science teacher Godfrey Kokeyo.
The following students participated in the Fair and will compete at the County level, which will be held from 5-6 March at Makande Girls Secondary School:
Engineering Category: Tyler Wamala (DP1) and Raphael Mwachiti (DP1) - Position 2
Energy Category: Zakir Jiwani (Year 10) and Nivyan lakhani (Year 9) - Position 2
Applied Technology Category: Alina Rattanshi (DP1) and Komal Hashwani (Year 10) - Position 3
Physics Category: Alysia Dhalla (Year 8) and Aman Ratani (Year 8) - Position 3
