What a Weekend
The Academy campus is always a busy place but this weekend was exceptional. Students from the UHAI CAS group arranged for groups of orphans to visit and treated them to fun on the sports field, and had also raised funds to provide lunch for them. They had a really enjoyable visit.
In the Commons, the MUN was held with an excellent turnout of students including contingents from other Mombasa schools as well. This presents an opportunity for students to discuss world issues in a critical and constructive manner. As we all know global politics is a complex field but at the MUN the students have time to think, discuss and present their ideas.
For the residential programme there was a sports tournament running throughout the weekend with friendly but strong competition between the teams. Unfortunately no winner has yet been declared due to the games being affected by rain. There was certainly no need to be sitting around looking for something to do this weekend.
