Teachers from California State University, Northridge visit Aga Khan Academy Mombasa

Two professors from the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) arrived at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa for a three-week program designed to provide professional development for the Academy’s teachers and to learn more about the Academy and its teaching methodology. Jonathon Marsh from the Academies is enthusiastic: "Having educators come together to share expertise and benefit from a wide array of professional experiences, forged in different national and cultural contexts, is a great example of how pluralism can serve to benefit all."

Muriuki Njonjo (Class of 2017): Giving back through leadership and empathy

Muriuku Njonjo graduated from the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa with the receipt of a full scholarship to the University of Waterloo in Canada. He shares a personal reflection about his time studying at the Academy: "The Academy changed my way of thinking, my way of doing things and informed my purpose in life."

On 9 June, the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa celebrated 20 graduates that successfully completed the week long photography workshops led by award-winning photographer, Frederic Roberts and his very talented team of photojournalists!
