“Dragon Days,” the much-anticipated Junior School play, was performed on 1st December to a riveted audience!
The hours of rehearsals, hard work, and determination of Junior School students and staff resulted in the musical being a great success. The rockin’ one-hour performance included singing, dancing, and acting. The audience was spellbound.
The event concluded with a speech by Junior School principal, Ms. Sreelatha Kumar, thanking everyone for their persistent support. She added, “The theme of the musical aligns with the vision of our Academy. It teaches us about pluralism, accepting and respecting others, and not judging a book by its cover.”
We are especially grateful to Mr. Subhadip for setting up the stage, Ms. Nivedita Acharya for painting the picturesque stage backdrop, Ms. Nivedita Paul for her choreographing, and to all the teachers for spending hours after school to create props. A special thanks to Mr. Nigel for flying all the way to India from England to direct the annual musical. Thank you for making this event a huge success, like every year.
Grade 5 performer Shritha summarized, “I had a great experience throughout the musical journey. We had a lovely time during the rehearsals. Mr. Nigel surprises us every time and chooses those stories that we all enjoy to sing and perform.”
