Pulp Strategy, a creative agency, recently visited the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad to shoot a video case study showcasing how the school has embraced technology in its classrooms to create immersive and inclusive experiences that inspire learning and stimulate the development of essential life skills.
The Academy is now officially recognised as a Microsoft Showcase School, demonstrating its passion for modernising the education system and ensuring that students use technology that adequately prepare them for the future. The video case study also had as one of its objectives the documentation of the Academy's journey and experience so far as a Showcase School.
The creative team spent a day at the Academy, interviewing key individuals including Dr Geoffrey Fisher – Head of Academy; Sanjeeb Mohanty – Director of IT, Academies Unit; Koel Ray – Dean of Studies; and student ambassadors. The interviews explored how technology supports educators in guiding and nurturing student passions. They also examined how the engagement with Microsoft has impacted the school and how various tools are empowering teachers and students to collaborate, share and make classrooms more engaging. Shots were taken of the campus, classroom and teachers encouraging the use of certain technologies amongst the students, to demonstrate how Microsoft products and services have enhanced the overall learning experience at the Academy.
