AKA, Hyderabad Ranked Sixth in India
The Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad has been ranked as the sixth best day-cum-boarding international school in India by the leading education publication Education World (EW). The recognition was part of EW’s ranking of the best Indian schools for 2014.
The Aga Khan Academy was also ranked as the best school in Hyderabad in the same category. The top schools were selected from amongst 913 schools nominated in 25 cities across India. More than 200 field researchers gathered extensive data from parents, teachers, principals and other educationists to compile the rankings. The lists were published by Education World this month, and the honours were formally acknowledged at the Education World India School Rankings Awards Night in Delhi on 20 September 2014.
This is a tremendous achievement for the Academy, which opened only in 2011 with its first group of Junior School students and was formally inaugurated by His Highness the Aga Khan just last year. Head of Academy, Geoffrey Fisher noted that the Academy’s emphasis on the needs of the individual student and excellence in all areas of teaching and learning has allowed the school to reach very high standards in only three years.
These high standards were already evident in the university admissions and scholarship successes of our first group of graduates earlier this year.
Congratulations to all at the Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad!
