Aman Punjani wins gold at national cycling championship
Class of 2016 graduate of AKA Hyderabad, Aman Punjani, recently became the first cyclist from the state in 25 years to win at the 23rd National Road Cycling Championship that took place in Haryana between 21st - 24th November 2018. He won gold medals in both under-23 40km Individual Time Trial and 100km Mass Start events. Currently studying at University of Colorado, Boulder in the USA, Aman has been training with coach Isaiah Newkirk for the last one and a half years. He clocks between 450-500km a week in addition to his courseload. Aman's determination and gift for the sport are incredibly inspiring to other students at the Academy.
