Another Music Success

A sense of excitement filled the air as Junior School students put the finishing touches to their musical concert on May 12th. All the Junior School students were on stage to sing, play, speak or dance. The Commons was abuzz with anticipation on the Friday morning as students found their places and prepared for their final rehearsal.

A substantial audience arrived by 2 pm, and after Dr Fisher’s opening remarks the tabla group, led by Mr Subhadip, gave a stunning performance of well disciplined playing.

Soon to follow were Grade 6, who performed a number of tunes on the keyboards and sang two well known songs from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Other soloists followed including Abigail on the violin, Saafa on the guitar and Sana and Kriva on the keyboard.

Hindi songs and keyboard soon followed, and finally all the children performed "The Moon Thieves," preceded by an overture of young players on recorder, violin, keyboard and xylophone.

Yet again, another successful musical event for the Junior School musicians was presented.
