CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) – Blue Cross

Students of the Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad have been volunteering for several months in a non-profit organisation known as Blue Cross, which fights for the welfare of animals and animal rights.

The volunteers feel that this experience has changed their perspective on animals and their treatment in Hyderabad.

Some of the things that the volunteers do involve grooming, bathing, de-ticking, and socialising with the puppies. Some of the more experienced volunteers work closely with the abandoned and disabled dogs which require much more attention.

The volunteers have to put in much effort and time to make sure that the experience will be a success with regards to the animals, and to make the most of the opportunity to broaden the service element encouraged by the school.
