Celebrating the joy of reading!
First thing this morning, students of Grades One to Five participated in a treasure hunt. Each group was given a clue and the next clue was hidden wherever the answer to the previous clue was located. All we could see was students moving briskly across the spacious library hall with enthusiasm, trying to find books based on the clues such as: books with titles starting and ending with the same letter, authors of wordless picture books, IB magazines, and books more than 500 pages long – IT WAS ALL ABOUT BOOKS!
This activity marked the beginning of AKA Hyderabad’s Junior School Book Week. The intention was to get the students hooked on the upcoming fun-filled events relating to the amazing world of books. It was a mission accomplished with a special thank you to Ms Moushumi, Ms Lisa and Mr Keshav!
We are also looking forward to some of the parents reading stories in their mother tongue languages on Wednesday and we are excited about inviting parents to the character parade for the first time! It is going to be a one-of-a-kind parade with students, teachers and parents dressed as various characters from books. We are looking forward to seeing you all there.
