Mr Malik Kotadia invited as the guest of honour at Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences
Mr Malik Kotadia, Director of External Affairs, Aga Khan Academies, was invited as the Chief Guest for the Model United Nations (MUN) event held on 31 October at Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences. Shadan Educational Society is a Telangana based organisation that runs 56 educational institutions including medicine and nursing in several states of India. The MUN event was organised as part of its annual event, Pulsation. The Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad's Dean of Studies, Mr Suresh Madhwan and Ms Fairdah Lakhani, Learning Support Specialist also accompanied Mr Kotadia. The elaborate fest at Shadan included initiatives to raise social awareness on women empowerment, cancer awareness, alcohol and drug abuse, reducing plastic use and Telangana’s efforts to contribute to the Swacch Bharat program.
Mr Kotadia, in his address, shared the vision and mission of the Aga Khan Academies and highlighted the high-quality education that the Academy provides the brightest minds irrespective of means. He also highlighted the Academies' emphasis on promoting pluralism.
The partnership between Shadan and the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad has been ongoing over the past few years. Shadan Institute for Medical Sciences collaborates with the Academy in setting up medical camps for its staff and students on the Academies’ Hyderabad campus, which reflects the joint commitment to promoting health and wellness.
