A New School Year Begins at the Junior School

There was palpable excitement in the air last Wednesday, 6 August as students, teachers and staff returned to the Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad for the start of the new school year.

The Junior School welcomed 45 new students to the PYP family, bringing the total to more than 160 for 2014-2015. It was also time to introduce returning and new staff. Ms Vidhya is a new Grade 3 teacher and Ms Lisa is the new English Support Teacher. We also have a new Head of Academy, Dr Geoffrey Fisher.

The children were thrilled to see some new playground equipment and to meet up with their friends and teachers after the holiday. At the end of the day, there were a number of happy, excited children on the buses home.

Dr Fisher was on hand on Monday, 11 August to help the Junior School inaugurate its new library. Everyone is looking forward to a very fruitful year at the Junior School.
