PYP Transition Day
May 30, 2014 was marked as a day to introduce Grade 6 students to the MYP. The entire day was filled with different activities which the students readily enjoyed.
The day started off with a lot of enthusiasm. After all, it was a really important day for the students of Grade 6 as they will be moving to the Senior School soon. The MYP coordinator, Ms. Koel welcomed the students with a lot of warmth. Students from Grade 7 of the Senior School hosted this transition. They shared with them the new things that they would be exposed to in the IB MYP program. They had a session with Ms. Koel where they discussed the IB learner profile; the AKA strands and were also introduced to the new Global Contexts. They were introduced to the specific subject areas and the teachers. To make the day more enjoyable, a lot of group activities were organized. It helped the students to get out of their nervous state, and they felt more comfortable around the seniors. Their experience was an eye opener, and they all enjoyed their first grand day at the Senior School!
