Science Day was celebrated on 23rd September in the Academy Senior School, where our budding scientists utilised their knowledge for a special debate and collage session. It began with exciting debates amongst 40 representatives from grades 6-10. Students made arguments for and against genetically modified food, based on information they learned in class and on their own research. Afterwards, students from grades 6 and 7 debated whether or not plastic bags should be banned from stores in India.

After lunch, students used their artistic talent as well as their scientific knowledge to create collages representing what science means to them. The participants used old newspapers

and other recycled materials in an effort to keep the event as green as possible.
The students below were awarded certificates for their contributions:

Best Speaker, Grade 6 – Sahishnu (Kakathiya House)
Best Speaker, Grade 7 – Riza (Nizam House)
Best Speaker, Grade 8 - Alyque (Pandya House)
Best Speaker Grade 9 – Rithwik (Nizam House)
Congratulations on a job well done!
