Staying active in the Junior School
Maintaining and sustaining the socio-emotional and physical well-being has been one of the major challenges for most of the schools across the world during virtual learning. The pandemic has brought in a lot of constraints for our kids making engaging in physical activities in outdoor spaces very challenging. But they weren’t ready to compromise with these limitations and continued with their learning journey in physical activities, even when the lockdown was imposed.
They have shown admirable enthusiasm and confidence in learning new things in PE even during distance learning. Yoga has been a new skill for them, and students are effortlessly exploring yoga asanas. They are very excited to practise skipping, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, ski-hops, etc. The yoga exercises and PE lessons have been doubtlessly a blessing for all of them during this period of isolation and kept them physically and mentally activated.
