AKA Maputo becomes Council of International Schools member
The Aga Khan Academy Maputo has become a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), a membership community working with international schools to enhance their high-quality education.
Through this membership, AKA Maputo will continue its commitment to providing high-quality teaching and learning, continue focusing on student wellbeing and developing globally-minded students who will contribute positively to their communities. The Academy will also have important access to a range of services and support which will help the Academy provide staff professional development, build relationships with universities globally, and ensure a focused ongoing improvement agenda across all areas.
"On behalf of us all at the Academy, we would like to thank all staff, parents and students for their ongoing support which made this membership possible," Head of Academy Michael Spencer said. "This is an important milestone for the Academy. The report provided by CIS will certainly enable us to move forward with a full and comprehensive accreditation process, which will involve all stakeholders. We are looking forward to continuing and deepening our relationship with CIS, and feel sure that the benefits of this association will become self-evident as we continue to be the best that we can be for our students and our community."
