Boogy Boogy likes to read

Part of our dual language program involves a period each day for specific language focus teaching. As an English mother tongue speaker I am lucky enough to teach the Grade 2 class through English whilst my Grade 1 class have a period of specific Portuguese learning. We work though an inquiry process to develop our speaking and listening, reading and writing skills. Sometimes reading in a language that is not your own is tricky and scary. Luckily Boogy Boogy loves to be read to. He doesn’t mind if you make a mistake. He doesn’t mind if you take a little time to read the new words. He likes learning different strategies to read. Most of all he just enjoys sharing a story in any language.
