End of academic year assemblies

On 8 June, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo's Junior School and Senior School organised two special assemblies, respectively, for its students and staff.
During the assemblies, students received various awards for demonstrating the attributes of the Aga Khan Academies Learner Profile through their actions and behaviours. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) students in the Junior School also paid tribute to the administrator staff for their hard work, with all students also thanking staff that are moving on to pursue other endeavours.
"Our student council led a final assembly which included showing our appreciation for all those who make school possible," PYP Coordinator Emma Wheatley said. " Awards for kindness, environmental stewardship, merit, and leadership were given out, celebrating some of our highlights." The assemblies concluded with special treats provided by the Academy's catering manager, which were made using in-house facilities.
