Grade 5s get ready for PYP exhibition
The Grade 5s at the Aga Khan Academy Maputo are getting ready for their Primary Years Programme (PYP) exhibition, which showcases their learning throughout their PYP journeys.
The PYP exhibition will take place on 14 May 2021 with the students sharing their learning, research, action and reflections under the central idea of: Creative thinking enables us to develop sustainable solutions to solve local and global issues."We are hopeful that the exhibition will be presented in person at school and will be open to families and community members. The PYP exhibition is the culmination of a student’s journey through the PYP and a chance to celebrate all they have achieved ahead of moving up to the Middle Years Programme (MYP)."
Grade 5 student Kenan Dlate said the exhibition enables students to apply their learning to real-world scenarios, which is really helpful.
"Exhibition work is really interesting as it gives us an opportunity to reflect on real-life situations," Kenan said. "I chose 'Quality of Education' as my research topic and I have been able to use my experiences from my previous school to the Academy. Ultimately, my goal through this project is to put in place a better education system for all children in Mozambique."
