PYP Presentation at the Playful Schools Conference
Junior School Principal Maike Silver and Early Years Centre Coordinator Edna Margarido were invited to present at the Playful Schools Conference on 9 February 2022. The conference featured speakers and ideas from across the globe that are committed to making learning more playful, meaningful and engaging. It was organised by the LEGO Foundation, the International School of Billund and Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
The conference had over 1,350 registered participants, all of who were invited by the LEGO Foundation to share their opinion, perspective, ideas or input on social media about the conference and its topics. AKA Maputo's topic of presentation was "Developing a Playful Culture through Leadership" and showcased some of the incredible work done at the Academy to participants from various different countries. “It was truly exciting to share some of our practices with an audience from around the world and to receive such appreciative feedback from the participants,” Maike said.
