Solving problems with our AKA Learner Profile superheroes

On Friday, 12 March 2021, the Junior School teachers at the Aga Khan Academy Maputo transformed into superheroes based on the Aga Khan Academies Learner Profile during a special virtual assembly.
The JS students were introduced to the brave superheroes and were given different scenarios where they would pick which AKA Learner Profile superhero could best help resolve the situation. Some scenarios were related to academics, whilst others were as simple as how to speak to your friends if you are feeling nervous around them.
The students shared their ideas on which superhero has the best "powers", and decided in the end that having a combination of all of the "powers" is the best.
To wrap up the assembly, A Superhero Like You by Dr Ranj was read, which discusses everyday superheroes such as doctors, recyclers, teachers, carers, veterinarians and more.
