Staff picnic at Ponta de Ouro beach
On Monday, 4 April 2022, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo’s staff members had a team picnic at the Ponta de Ouro beach as part of the Academy’s staff wellness initiatives.
Staff members arrived at the Academy at 7 am with their families and left to Ponta de Ouro in two school buses. When at the beach, staff members and their families enjoyed plenty of fun and relaxing activities including a walk along the beach, swimming, a barbeque, dancing and singing.
Academy nurse Pascaline Nyiranzayino commented on how the picnic served as a great teambuilding activity, saying “The trip to Ponta de Ouro was a treasure and wonderful source of energy. It is always good to work as team and share life as a family.”
This was echoed by Head of Finance Minhaz Nayani, who said “Academic and fun galore, one can find at just one place — yes, the colleagues of the Aga Khan Academy Maputo were on cloud nine at Ponta Do Ouro. All enjoyed the camaraderie of an amazing group!”
