Visit by Stewart Sukuma
On 19 September 2013, the singer and Unicef Goodwill Ambassador, Stewart Sukuma, visited the Aga Khan Academy, Maputo.
The Goodwill Ambassador came to our school at the invitation of students in grade 3, who are studying a unit within the Primary Years Programme called "The rights and responsibilities of children."
It was with great interest and enthusiasm that students heard and talked about the rights of the child in the world and in Mozambique. There were many questions asked of Stewart Sukuma: about Unicef, on the universal rights of children, and how children are curious and mindful. The students also questioned the guest about his life as a singer.
The questions were prepared by the students in both Portuguese and English.
It was a visit that has helped shape and develop the students as citizens of the world.
Thank you, singer and Unicef ambassador, Stewart Sukuma, for the time and affection you gave to our students.
