If you could be magically transported to one specific location right now, where would it be?

Definitely to Afghanistan where my home is. Having been away from home for over a year now especially when we have been in-doors for the past 8 months has made me miss home and my family.

Students build organic farm

A group of Ismaili students from Afghanistan and Tajikistan made the most of a difficult situation when they were unable to return home from the Aga Khan Academy in Hyderabad during the Covid-19 pandemic. With the abundance of spare time they were suddenly given, the students planned and implemented an organic farm on the school grounds.

Introducing Altamash Ansari - our new Music Teacher

The Music Programme here at the Academy is vibrant and enriching, which allows students to nurture their talent. Also, if you look at history, you will find that composers had written music heavily influenced by nature. Music is an inspirational subject, and the Academy’s campus is very inspiring. These factors add up in mentoring students and turn them into creative individuals. These captivated my attention as well and brought me here.

Opening doors to a new Online Library

Now students, teachers or any other member of the Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad can visit the Library catalogue to access the online library which has plethora of resources for students, teachers and parents.

Virtual Internships - Summer of 2020

The Aga Khan Academies Internship Programme is a volunteer service opportunity that links IB Diploma students, aged 16-18, with AKDN agencies and other grassroots level NGOs to engage in meaningful and sustainable career-oriented opportunities in professional fields over their June/July holiday. This year marks the successful completion of the Internship Programme for the sixth consecutive year.
