Flash Mob

Around 40 students from the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad organised a flash mob on Tuesday, 2nd October 2019 at Sarath City Capital Mall at Kondapur, Hyderabad. The flash mob aimed to raise awareness about the current climate change situation.

Students selected by the IB to present at DIDAC India 2019

Iqra Amlani and Ananya Shah were selected by the International Baccalaureate (IB) as student ambassadors to present papers at DIDAC India Exhibition 2019 in Bangalore on 25th September 2019.

The Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad Model United Nations (AKAHMUN) which is a simulation of the UN was held from Saturday 21st September to Monday 23rd September 2019. The event saw active participation from MYP and DP students.

The Academy’s Junior School commemorated the International Day of Peace with a week-full of meaningful activities, starting from Monday 16 September to Friday 20 September.

Junior School Enrichment Programme: What’s in a language?

The Academy Junior School (JS) celebrated Telugu language week from Monday, 02 September to Friday, 06 September. The Telugu week was concluded with a special assembly held on Friday, 6 September where students participated in different activities and performed in front of their colleagues and teachers. This was followed by few engaging sessions, highlighting the significance of learning mother language.

Creativity, Activity, Service: Teaching students meaningful life lessons through hands-on learning

Students studying the IB Diploma Programme at the Academy have been regularly volunteering to spend some quality time on various projects that enable service-based learning. Over the last few days, around 28 students of DP 1 had planted more than 300 different varieties of organic vegetables and flowers on the Academy campus!

Holiday on 12th Sep 2019 | Ganesh Immersion

Due to the likelihood of unusually heavy traffic and very congested roads, the Academy will be closed on the occasion of Ganesh Immersion. 

A tête-à-tête with an ex-student

Rehana Savani graduated in May this year and visited the Academy this week. Rehana, who is a proud recipient of the Global Citizen Award from the University of Alberta, begins her studies in Economics in September. Dr Long had a chance to ask her a few questions during her visit.
