Meet Noor Salam, physical and health education teacher

Noor Salam was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and is one of the physical and health education teachers at the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka. Noor spent more than 15 years of his career in various schools, including The Aga Khan School, Dhaka and Abdul Kadir Molla International School in Narsingdi, Bangladesh. At the beginning of his career, Noor served as a programme officer at the National Association of Sports in Bangladesh. 

Noor aspires to achieve the mission and vision of the Aga Khan Academies by encouraging students to participate actively in sports and other physical activities.  

“As a physical and health education teacher, it would be my utmost priority to encourage the students toward sports and other physical activities,” Noor said. “I wish to promote the ways to a healthy lifestyle.” 

Noor said he loves to use the Maidan to promote a healthy lifestyle among his students. 

“Students enjoying themselves is the most pleasant sight for a teacher,” Noor said. “The Maidan is where they enjoy themselves the most.”
