Students and teachers across the Academies Network connected with each other through a first-ever cross-campus virtual Peace Summit organised by the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa.
As part of Action for Happiness’ Mindful March and in solidarity with Earth Hour 2021, which took place at 8.30pm on Saturday 27th March, we recently hosted a live meditation for our on-campus community.
Aftikhar Mominzada joined the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad six years ago from Afghanistan. This summer he graduates from the Academy and will be accepting a full scholarship at the University of Alberta in Canada.
Aashna’s Personal project focuses on the importance of paper recycling. Using online Zoom workshops she taught people how they can recycle paper at home!

Sweni Hamid’s Personal Project captures the dreams of teenagers in six digital artworks. Sweni sees dreaming as an activity which helps us to imagine outlandish scenarios; helping us develop into people who can handle even the most bizarre situations. This is what grabbed her attention and created the focus which became the central theme of this fascinating project.
