Student projects on global climate and environmental issues win one Gold, two Silver, and three Bronze medals in largest East and Central Africa science competition in Nairobi.
On Friday 15 April 2016 a fantastic inter-house music competition took place in the Multi-Purpose Hall of AKA Mombasa. It was an afternoon full of music, singing and instruments, with the Hawks emerging victorious in the end.
At this year's Peace Summit, students led workshops on Diamonds and Civil War in Sierra Leone, Exploitation of Child Labour in East Africa, Bringing Peace to Syria and various other topics of global significance.
A workshop on Action in the PYP and Service Learning at the Academy will take place on Thursday 7th April at 5.00pm to 6.00pm and will be repeated on Friday 8th April at 9.00am to 10.00am.
Friday 11th March 2016 saw the first Inter-House Chess Competition in AKA Mombasa history. However, this was no ordinary competition, as the chess pieces were actually students!
