Students in AKA, Mombasa's Educating Girls in Science (EGIS) outreach programme have developed a stone that helps save lives by drawing out poison from snake and scorpion bites.
Year 6 students partake in an educational trip to a mosque, a temple, and a church to learn about religious identity, local history, and pluralism in Mombasa.
As part of the EGIS project, students at Jomvu Girls High School created a detergent and disinfectant in their science lab and sold it in their community!
The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa students have exceeded expectations this year by winning four first place awards at the 89th edition of the Kenya Music Festival held early August in Kisumu.
This year’s graduating class is the most successful in AKA, Mombasa history, scoring an average of 34.4 points and earning over $4.1 million in scholarships and financial aid.
